PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which can prevent fall off of a connection terminal inserted into the inside of a housing, and a lamp unit for backlight assembly equipped with same. SOLUTION: A body part for supplying power to the power supply line consists of a joint part 267a fixing the body part to the power supply line, a head part with a hanging jaw 266a formed, and a coupling part 267b for coupling the joint part 267a and the head part 267c. The coupling part is formed so as to slant toward a direction opposing an inside base bottom face of a housing 269 with a hanging protrusion 269c formed. Therefore, movement of a hot or cold electrode line 263, 264 or tensile strength from repetitive coupling of a connector 265 is not transmitted to a hot or cold side connection terminal 266, 268 with capital gearing of the coupling part, which prevents the connection terminals 266, 268 of the connector 265 from falling off from the housing 269.
