摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an 8-PSK(Phase Shift Keying) carrier phase detection device which has a comparatively easy circuit configuration and operates stably. SOLUTION: In a phase detection device 101 employing a 8-PSK system, the area of a received signal is discriminated from a temporary phase value TPV which is an output from a quadrature phase comparator 2 for QPSK modulation by a phase area discriminating circuit 3, a fixed value is added/ subtracted to/from the value TPV by a temporary phase value converting circuit 5 to generate a converted phase value CTPV in which a polarity is converted, and it is selected whether the value TPV is outputted as it is or the value CTPV is outputted depending on a region where a received signal exists. Thus, there is provided a phase detection device for obtaining a reference carrier wave according to a signal point location in 8-PSK system.
