PURPOSE: Provided are a phosphor obtained by attaching the second phosphor of nano size to surface of the first phosphor(wherein the first phosphor and the second phosphor emit same colors), a method for producing the same, and a cathode-ray tube produced by using the same. CONSTITUTION: The phosphor is produced by attaching the second phosphor of nano size to surface of the first phosphor(wherein the first phosphor and the second phosphor emit same colors). The second phosphor is Y2O3:Eu or Y2O2S:Eu as red phosphor, ZnS:Ag, Al or ZnS:Ag, Cl as blue phosphor, and ZnS:Cu,Al or ZnS:Cu,Au,Al as green phosphor. The phosphor is produced by the steps of (i) ball milling the second phosphor of nano size and dispersing the phosphor to form a dispersion, (ii) dispersing the first phosphor(which had been ball milled and washed) in water, and introducing the dispersion obtained in the step(i) into the first phosphor dispersion to form a mixed solution, (iii) introducing an aqueous solution of metal salt compound into the mixed solution, and (iv) treating the mixed solution with aqueous ammonia to form a metal hydrate. |
