The invention concerns devices for use in treating sleep apnoea. In one embodiment the device (1) comprises molar contact portions (2 and 3) linked by an elongate stainless steel member (4). The molar contact portions have clips (5-7) for securing the device to a dentition of the user. An elastic linkage is connected between the clips and an anchor fixed to the dentition opposite to that primarily contacted by the molar contact portions. In another embodiment, clips alone are used to secure the device to both the upper and lower dentitions so that an elastic linkage to an anchor is not required.
