PURPOSE: A tension mask assembly is provided to eliminate the problem of residual image caused due to the contact between the wire and tension mask, while preventing thermal distortion of the wire contacting the tension mask. CONSTITUTION: A tension mask assembly(10) comprises a tension mask(11) including an aperture portion(12) having a plurality of electron beam passing holes, and a non-aperture portion(13) extended from an edge of the aperture portion; a frame(14) including a plurality of support members(15) arranged to be spaced from each other at the lower portion of the tension mask, and a plurality of elastic members(16) each of which has both ends coupled to the support members so as to elastically support the support members; and a vibration damper including auxiliary members(19) arranged at the tension mask and formed of one or more thin films, and a damper coupled to the auxiliary members. The auxiliary member is formed by bending downward from the edge of the shorter side of the non-aperture portion of the tension mask. The damper includes a wire(18) installed to the support member or the elastic member, and which has a predetermined tension force.
