A print image on the surface of a three-dimensional object which has been formed into a desired shape by inputting a test image on the surface of a planar object. The drawing shapes of the read test image and the print image are measured to derive an inverse calculation correcting formula of the drawing shape distortion. Next, a desired sample image on the surface of the planar object is inputted, and the correction value of the drawing shape is calculated from the measured value of the drawing shape in accordance with the inverse calculation correcting formula, thereby to create the drawing data given the correction value. A drawing state without any distortion is achieved if a block copy is prepared according to the drawing data.
