PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material giving sufficient image density at a practical reaction temperature in a practical reaction time, suppressing the coloration of a non-image area in long-term storage after development and capable of preventing the increase of fog. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material contains at least one photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder on one face of the base and has an oxazoline compound having an oxazolyl group in its molecule and a hydrogen bond forming compound. The oxazoline compound is preferably a compound having two or more 2-oxazolyl groups of formula (a) in one molecule or a high molecular compound having a 2-oxazolyl group of the formula (a) in a side chain. In the formula (a), R<1> -R<4> are each H, halogen, alkyl or aryl and the alkyl and aryl may have substituents.
