PRODUCTION METHOD FOR SOIL CONDITIONER, AND MIXED ORGANIC FERTILIZER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat so far discarded oyster shells to effectively utilize them as a new resource and to provide a soil conditioner capable of exterminating harmful bacteria causing plant diseases. SOLUTION: The production method for a soil conditioner essentially comprises (1) a fermentation step wherein easily decomposable organic substances and oyster shells are mixed and fermented in a fermentation tank 2 at 70 deg.C or higher under air supply, (2) a separation step wherein fermented oyster shells obtained from the fermentation product is separated with a sifter 3, and (3) a humidity-conditioning and aeration step wherein the fermented oyster shells separated in the separation step is conditioned to a humidity of 30-60% and aerated in an aeration tank 4 to deacetylate the chitin substance of the shells, thus giving a treated oyster shell material.
