PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing man-hours of a heat exchanger (condenser) by abolishing a slit for caulking for fixing a separator to a header tank by caulking. SOLUTION: Two projections 231 of the separator 230 are bent so that they pinch the header tank 220 from a direction for orthogonally crossing the longitudinal direction of the header tank 220, thus brazing the separator 230 to the header tank 220 while being fixed by caulking, thus dispensing with providing the slit for caulking and hence reducing the manufacturing man-hours of the header tank 220 (tank body 221) by abolishing the slit for caulking.
