PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection foaming method which can obtain a foamed injection-molded article of a thermoplastic resin which is excellent in physical properties and surface appearance and has cells of a fine average cell diameter and a uniform average cell density, and also to provide a resin composition used in the method. SOLUTION: In the injection foaming method of the thermoplastic resin in which a physical foaming agent is supplied from a storage container, with pressure applied or not applied, to the cylinder of an injection molding machine, the thermoplastic resin contains a mixture of polycarboxylic acid and hydrogen carbonate or its decomposition product. The thermoplastic resin composition contains 0.01-1 wt.% of the mixture or its decomposition product. |
