PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam for a vehicle reduced in weight and size and having high strength and shock resistance. SOLUTION: This beam for a vehicle such as a bumper beam has the following shape at least as a sectional form. That is, each one side which is one of equal sides of a substantially isosceles triangle having a substantially vertical fitting side base and inner sides of a substantially equilateral triangle having a substantially vertical collapsible side base are respectively communized by both sides of the substantially isosceles triangle. Preferably, in the beam for the vehicle, both side ends are positioned near both ends of the base of the substantially isosceles triangle to be integrated with each other.
