PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic electrodeposition coating composition and a coated product obtained from the same having a black electrodeposition coating film without reducing rust preventing properties even adding carbon black. SOLUTION: This cationic electrodeposition coating composition includes a resin composition having number average molecular weight of 500 to 20,000 comprising an epoxy resin and a carbon black having DBP(Dibutyl phthalate) absorption of >=80 cm<3> /100 g, and the resin composition includes (a) 5-400 millimole of a sulfonium group per 100 g of the solid resin content, (b) 80-355 millimole of an 8-24C aliphatic hydrocarbon group optionally including an unsaturated double bond in the chain and (c) 10-315 millimole of a 3-7C organic group or a propargyl group having an unsaturated double bond on the end and the sum of the (a), (b) and (c) is <=500 millimole per 100 g of the solid resin content.
