The invention relates to a polyazole based acid-doped polymer membrane, a method for the production and the use thereof. The inventive acid-doped polymer membrane can be used in a variety of ways on account of the excellen t mechanical properties thereof and is especially suitable for use as a polyme r- electrolyte-membrane (PEM) in PEM-fuel cells.
