<p>The invention relates to a cross assembly consisting of a cross piece comprising a hub which is intended to be connected to a shaft and whereon project several arms (3). Each arm comprises a cylindrical running surface, a roller (5) mounted rotating and sliding on each arm via a ring of needles (4) and an elastic split ring (8) for retaining the ring of needles and the roller on the arm. The split ring is axially fixed to the arm by snap fitting, the width of the slit in the split ring after mounting being zero or much less than the diameter of the needles. The lower face (16) of the split ring comprises (i) a needle-retaining surface (20) which is flared towards the free end of the arm and which defines the running space of the needles and (ii) a roller-retaining surface (22) which is flared towards the free end of the arm. The flared roller-retaining surface is located more or less in the extension of the flared needle-retaining surface (20).</p> |
