<p>An epoxy cpd. (including polymeric e.g. epoxidised, carboxyl-terminated polybutadiene) and a carboxylic acid (e.g. adipic, citric, succinic) are reacted in presence of 0.001 to 5% (with respect to weight of epoxide plus carboxylic acid) of a Cr-(III)-chelate of (substd.) salicylic acid. Bis-(3,5-diisopropylsalicylato)-monohydroxy-chrome-(III)-chelate is suitable. The catalyst is highly efficient; reaction rate is high. Used e.g. in hardening of mixtures are exemplified above.</p> |
