PURPOSE: An interworking device and method for a distributed control system and a line test board is provided to automate a line test by composing a converter between the line test board and the digital line distributed control system and processing a response signal. CONSTITUTION: The first and second interface units(310,350) perform an interface between a line test board and a distributed control system. The first CPU9(320) monitors the line test board, processes a response according to the command of the line test board by monitoring data of the distributed control system and the line test result value, and transmits the processed value to the line test board. A RAM(330) temporarily stores commands and response signals. The second CPU(340) monitors the distributed control system, and provides the monitoring data about the command progress state of the distributed control system to the first CPU(320).
