ECHINODERM-CONTROLLING AGENT, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ECHINODERM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an echinoderm-controlling agent which can continuously control echinoderms from a living area of ocean bottom organisms without affecting the ocean bottom organisms excluding the echinoderms, and to provide a method for controlling the echinoderms from the living area of the ocean bottom organisms. SOLUTION: The echinoderm-controlling agent comprises magnesium oxide- calcium oxide sintered particles containing the calcium oxide in an amount of 10 to 75 wt.%, and the method for controlling the echinoderms comprises disposing the echinoderm-controlling agent in the living area (coral reef 1) of the ocean bottom organisms or on its periphery, or disposing the echinoderm- controlling agent on the periphery of the living area (coral reef 1) of the ocean bottom organisms and then controlling the echinoderm living in the living area.
