PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of reducing the degree of increase in the inside temperature of a car. SOLUTION: Based on map information and shadow regions, the navigation device 1 selects, from among a plurality of parking lots near a destination, a recommendable parking lot being a parking lot which is recommended to park the car from the viewpoint of suppressing the degree of increase in the inside temperature of the car. Next, based on the map information, information on the position of the sun, and the shadow regions, the navigation device 1 determines, for every a plurality of parking sections which the recommended parking lot has, recommended directions of parking in parking sections and recommended parking positions in the parking sections which are recommended from the viewpoint of suppressing the degree of increase in the inside temperature of the car, and displays those determined recommended directions of parking in the parking sections and the recommended parking positions in the parking sections on a display section 50.
