PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device for preventing snow capable of preventing a deposition on the floor face of a veranda or the like of snow in the case of a snowstorm and the moistening of the floor face by stretching in the upper space section of the handrail wall of the veranda or the like in a building. SOLUTION: Both-side guide posts 3 and 3 are disposed in upright towards an upper section from both-side end sections of the handrail wall 2 while the internal space section of the handrail wall 2 between the lower end sections of these both-side guide posts 3 and 3 is formed previously to the housing section 4 of the shutter 1 for preventing the snow, the shutter 1 is housed previously in the housing section 4 in the case of nonuse or stored previously at another place, the shutter 1 is pushed up from the housing section 4 side in the case of the snowstorm and elevated along guide grooves 6 and 6 from the lower ends of these guide grooves 6 and 6 formed to the opposed surfaces of both-side guide posts 3 and 3, and the shutter 1 for the snow-shed is stretched between the upper both-side guide posts 3 and 3 from the handrail wall 2.
