PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress damage to an air bag at time of inflation and unfolding without deteriorating the storability of the bag in a head protective air bag device. SOLUTION: In this head part protective air bag device, the air bag 11 stored along a roof side rail 21 is inflated and unfolded in a curtain shape along a cabin side wall by gas supplied from an inflator 14 to protect the head of an occupant. The air bag 11 comprises an inflation part 11c for a front seat and an inflation part 11d for a rear seat and a gas passage 11b allowed to communicate with inflation chambers of both inflation parts 11c and 11d. A gas supply port 11a for feeding gas from the inflator 14 downward is provided for the gas passage 11b. An auxiliary inflation chamber 11e1 is provided corresponding to the gas supply port 11a. |
