PURPOSE: An overpressure-safety valve of a pressure vessel is provided to prevent explosion of a pressure vessel by making overpressure gas discharged through an orifice, and to simplify the assembly process by installing an overpressure-preventing sealer on the outer periphery of a stem. CONSTITUTION: An overpressure-safety valve system of a pressure vessel forming a coupling unit(11) fixing a valve body to the middle part of a mounting cup(10) comprises a housing(20), a gasket(12), a stem(13), a sealer(16), and a spring(18). The upper part of the housing is open and the lower part has a gas inlet, and a projection for fitting is formed on the inner periphery of the housing. The gasket shuts the gap of the upper end of the housing and mounting cup. The stem installed in the housing forms a recessed part(15) fixing the gasket to the upper part, and an orifice(17) for inflow of gas in the housing to the lower part. The sealer opens and shuts the orifice. The spring is elastically supported between the sealer and gasket. The sealer is raised up and overpressure gas is discharged outside through the orifice, and therefore explosion of the pressure vessel is prevented.
