A textile material having a surface structure is disclosed which includes at least two different needled base fleeces, whereby the base fleeces have a surface stru cture obtained by needling from at least one side, whereby the needles used for th e structure needling are forked or crowned needles, the depth of the forks or the burs thereof being selected so that they completely fill with fibers of the fleec e facing the needles, and whereby the textile material has pure fibers in the pattern, th e base and the backside.
