PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dressing gear capable of preventing concentration of a load on hard abrasive grains on a tip part at the time of dressing to restrict abrasion in the hard abrasive grains, advance of removal, and position deflection of a tooth face from a tip form, and reducing manufacturing man-hours. SOLUTION: In gear honing work where an internal tooth grinding wheel is formed by this external tooth dressing gear having roughly similar gear dimensions to those of a workpiece, the tip form of base material of the dressing gear is composed of a continuous curved surface, and the tip form is formed simultaneously with the tooth face of the dressing gear. Otherwise, pre-refined material is used for the base material of the dressing gear, and the tip form of the dressing gear is formed simultaneously as the tooth face of the base material of the dressing gear is finished.
