PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monitoring material capable of simply evaluating the state of a plant growth medium such as soil in situ and to provide a method for evaluating the growth medium. SOLUTION: This plant having a disrupted gene encoding a cell membrane proton-ATPase is obtained. Thereby, the state of the plant growth medium such as soil can simply be evaluated in situ.
