METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STRETCHING OUTER CABLE FOR OUTER CABLE TRUSS PC BRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stretching an outer cable capable of easily constructing a light and rational outer cable truss PC bridge and to provide a stretching device suitable for the method. SOLUTION: In this outer cable truss PC bridge for making a strut 2 extending from a bridge beam 1 support a cable saddle 3 and stretching the outer cable 4 by eccentrically moving the cable saddle 3 from the bridge beam at a large degree, the outer cable 4 is stretched by being slidably inserted into the cable saddle 3. The cable saddle 3 is constituted of a double tube having a curvature according to arrangement and shape of the outer cable 4. It is desirable an unbonded cable in which coating 10 and a steel strand wire 9 are alternately slidable is used as the outer cable 4. An inner tube 3a constituting the double tube is mounted on an outer tube 3b via a supporting means 5 such as a spacer and an end part of the inner tube 3a is flared.
