PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which properly control the output of an audio sound when a guide voice is outputted. SOLUTION: A storage part 13 stores mute set values prescribing whether the audio sound is reduced in sound volume (muted) for each audio source (a radio broadcast reception part 33 to a cassette reproduction part 36). A processing control part 14 generates and supplies a specific guide message to a voice synthesis part 16 when a guidance of a route needs to be given to a user to output a guide voice for giving the guidance of the route through a loudspeaker 4. At this time, the processing control part 14 specifies the current selected source of a car audio 3 through a source monitor part 15 and places a mute circuit 37 in operation through the voice synthesis part 16 according to the mute set value 13a when the audio sound of the audio source needs to be muted. |
