PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that communication time and charge amount are increasing in each time of reading and utilizing contents data in communication environment including, for instance, a public network when the contents data on a server device is utilized from a client device. SOLUTION: The contents data reading system automatically downloads only preselected electronic data among a lot of electronic data prepared on a plurality of server devices through a network to store the preselected electronic data in a client device, automatically prepares management data and a menu for utilizing and managing the stored electronic data in the client device, makes it possible to easily utilize electronic data existing on a different server device even in off-line by selecting the electronic data existing on the different server device connected by the network from the menu, and can furthermore manage (add, eliminate, and update to the latest version) the electronic data of the client device side.
