Bending element comprises: longitudinal support plate made from elastic material on which a conducting material and a piezoelectric ceramic plate are applied; and devices for fixing the support plate to the upper and lower part of a conveyor unit so that the ratio of the dimensions on the end regions between one end of the ceramic plate and the fixing on the upper part and between the other end of the ceramic plate and the fixing on the lower part is at least 1.5. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a bending element.
