PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for integrally molding a superplastic metal, which can reduce manufacturing costs without requiring a special additional process for an outer surface after molding. SOLUTION: In a laminated body 1, titanium alloy sheets 1a-1d are laminated, and appropriate places of the core sheets 1b and 1c of them are coated with a joining preventing material. When the laminated body 1 is set in a mold 3 composed of upper and lower molds 3a and 3b, metallic foil 4 is held in a sandwiched manner on one side (a left side in the figure) between the molds 3a and 3b, another sheet material 2 is disposed via a ceramic adhesive 5 in a bent part 4a, protruding inside the mold 3, of the metallic foil 4, and one end 11 of the laminated body 1 is made to abut on a curved inner wall 2a of the sheet material 2. In superplastic forming after diffusion joining, the sheet material 2 is brought into press-contact via the laminated body 1, which is inflated with gas pressure, in such a manner as to follow a shape of the mold 3, and integrated with the laminated body 1 by the diffusion joining, so as to be obtained in the approximate same shape as that of a finished product. |
