PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital still camera that reduces a time from application of power until photographing is available so as to be able to photograph an object without missing a shutter release opportunity. SOLUTION: The digital still camera has an image pickup device and an image recording means that records digital image data photographed by the image pickup device on a recording medium. The image recording means temporarily creates a temporary recording directory on the recording medium, adds a name to a temporary recording file registered in the temporary recording directory, and records the digital image data on the recording medium, then the name of the temporary recording file is connected into a management file name different from the name of the temporary recording file. |
