PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the possibility that data are stolen and used by a computer when digital transmission is performed and that a casual copy is taken when analog transmission is carried out. SOLUTION: On a magnetic tape 1, output control information is recorded together with an MPEG stream. This output control information consists of two bits and is extracted from a reproduced signal by an output control circuit 9 to control a D.I/F circuit 7 and a switch circuit 11. Namely, the output control circuit 9 enables the D.I/F circuit 7 when the 1st bit of the output control information is '0' to output a digital signal and inhibits the circuit from outputting it when '1'. Further, when the 2nd bit of the output control information is '0', a switch circuit 11 is turned off to inhibit an analog component signal from being outputted and when '1', it is outputted. |
