PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin battery excellent in a sealing property by preventing short-circuit failure between positive and negative electrodes. SOLUTION: This thin battery is provided with an armoring film material having at least a metal foil and a heat fusing type resin film, a flat type electrode group stored in this armoring film material and having a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator interposed between these positive and negative electrodes and an outer lead respectively connected to the positive electrode and the negative electrodes of this electrode group and extended out from the armoring film material outside and seals the electrode group by holding and heat-fusing an insulating resin film on both sides of the outer lead on the heat fusing type resin films of the armoring film material and on an extended part of the outer lead, the insulating resin film is made of a multilayer structure of not less than two layers including a first resin film making contact with the outer lead and a second resin film not making contact with the outer lead, and the second resin film has a high melting point in comparison with the first resin film. |
