<p>Full bobbins (19) are placed on carrier pegs (17) in the feed section of the transport system. An inclined pressure belt (25) moves above the transport belt (14) to form a convergent space and thereby press the bobbins (19) fully on to the pegs (17). At the entry the distance (a) between the belts is greater than the height (I) of the bobbin tip above the transport belt (14). A magnetic plate (44) ensures adequate friction between carriers and transport belt and side guide rails prevent the bobbins tipping over. The speeds of the pressure belt (25) and the transport belt (14) are matched by controlling the speeds of the motors (31, 45) through a light beam sensor (39) detecting the passing of the bobbins. The pressure belt assembly is supported in a hinged frame (28).</p> |
