PURPOSE: A method for preparing multi-functional ion-exchange fiber for the recovery of valuable metals from seawater, industrial wastewater and mine drainage is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method is characterized in that high molecular substrate is grafted with at least two vinyl monomers for copolymerization after irradiating radial rays on a high molecular substrate and then it is functionalized to prepare ion exchange fiber with at least two functional groups.
