PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processor which can suppress deterioration in processing capacity and a double feed of paper sheets. SOLUTION: A paper sheet reach detection means can detect at least two points or more of a space between a paper sheet in the forefront and a delivery means, to control driving of a side part feed means and the bottom part feed means in accordance with this space. In the case that the paper sheet reach detection means can detect two points of the space between the forefront paper sheet and the delivery means, a detection position distant from the delivery means is made a first detection position, a detection position near the delivery mean is made a second detection position. In the case that the paper sheet reaches the first detection position in addition a drive time of the side part feed means and the bottom part feed means is a prescribed time or more, driving of the side part feed mean and the bottom part feed means is stopped.
