PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cutting liquid mist from being liquefied because the cutting liquid mist receives a centrifugal force due to the rotation of a main spindle 2 between a mist outlet member 23 and the vicinity of a rear end part of a cutting edge 25 and easily form a structure in which a cross sectional area of a passage for a mist outlet from the mist outlet member 23 to the vicinity of the rear end part of the cutting edge 25 is not abruptly changed for change of a position in length direction. SOLUTION: A main spindle device of a machine tool constituted such that a mist generation part 16 in a non-rotation condition is provided in a central hole of the main spindle 2 and the cutting liquid mist jetted from the mist outlet member 23 in the mist generation part flows out from a tip part of the cutting edge 25 through a central hole of a tool holder 8, a mist outlet extension part 24 for making the mist outlet passage e2 reach the vicinity of the rear end part of the cutting edge positioned in the central hole of the tool holder is formed in a non-rotation condition.
