PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake device capable of forming a mount bracket by press molding, requiring no removal or no re-fitting of brake shoes and a shoe drive mechanism or the like when replacing the sliding section of a backing plate due to abrasion, and having excellent maintainability. SOLUTION: A mount bracket 45 fitted to a vehicle body is formed by the press-molding of a metal plate as a nearly flat plate-like structure having a circular plate section 45a superimposed on a disk section 43a of a backing plate 43 and a flange section 45b stretched from the outer periphery of the circular plate section 45a as a fitting section to the vehicle body. A pair of brake shoes 35 and 36, a shoe drive mechanism 39, and an anchor pin 41 are directly fitted to the circular plate section 45a of the mount bracket 45, not via the backing plate 43.
