PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate machine in which a measuring instrument can be simply calibrated for correct instrumentation in the occurrence of its errors and in which a positioning function for a plate material can be maintained constantly with high precision. SOLUTION: The plate machine 2 is designed to have a plate feeding mechanism 7 that feeds a plate material W on a table 5 relative to a machining position P2. The machine is equipped with a measuring instrument 28 for measuring the position of a measuring hole 33 formed in the plate material W and with a correcting means 59 for correcting the feeding quantity of the plate feeding mechanism 7 on the basis of the measurement. In addition, the machine is equipped with a calibration means 60; with the measuring instrument 28 to measure a reference hole 31 at the time of its installation which is on the plate material separately from the measuring hole 33, the calibration means 60 performs calibration of the measuring instrument 28 based on the measurement of the reference hole.
