PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device which can be realized only by processing an optical fiber. SOLUTION: The optical device has, in each specified division of an optical fiber 1, a first functional part 7 having a plurality of Faraday crystal substituted cylinders 5 parallel to one another and mostly penetrating the core 3 of the optical fiber 1 as being perpendicular to the optical axis 2 of the optical fiber 1 and a second functional part 8 having a plurality of holes 6 parallel to one another and mostly penetrating the core 3 of the optical fiber as being perpendicular to the optical axis 2 of the optical fiber 1. The longitudinal direction of the Faraday crystal substituted cylinders 5 and the longitudinal direction of the holes make a 45 deg. angle along the plane perpendicular to the optical axis 2.
