<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of filming by suppressing an external additive from being isolated from toner at a contact transfer. SOLUTION: The toner T is set so that the inclination (equivalent particle diameter of external additive/equivalent particle diameter of base particle)θof an approximate straight lineαobtained by approximating the distribution of the equivalent particle diameter of the external additive (SiO2) to the equivalent particle diameter of the base particle (C) by a method of least squares may be <=0.6. Then, the amount and the particle diameter of the external additive (SiO2) sticking to the base particle (C) are restricted, then, at a contact- developing process in contact with a latent image carrier and at a contact- transfer process in contact with a transfer unit in operation of an image forming process, the isolation of the external additive (SiO2) from the base particle (C) is reduced. Then, the external additive (SiO2) is prevented from remaining at the cleaning part of the latent image carrier, and the occurrence of the filming is reduced.</p> |
