摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton beam window for use in nuclear spallation target which is capable of coping with high strength proton beams. SOLUTION: The flow of cooling water 28 which is sent from the cooling water inlet tube 18 to each side passage 21 is turned to flow upward to the central passage 23 by guide blades located toward the lower end part of the side passage 21. The interference of the two cooling water 28 flows that go up to the central passage 23 is suppressed by a flow guide 26, and further the flow of the cooling water 28 going from the central passage 23 to the cooling water outlet tube 19 is flown into the narrow gap part that is formed by the upper stream window part 11 and the lower stream window part 12, and thereby, uniformity of flow distribution and improvement of flow speed are made, and generation of a hot spot that may become a cause of excessive thermal stress and boiling of the cooling water is restrained.
