The invention concerns a security device for the outside door of a building defined by a bay, comprising vertically above said bay, a canopy (1) extending at least partly above the lintel plane of said bay and substantially perpendicular to the wall (4) wherein the bay is arranged; on either side of the abutments of said bay a pair of guide rails for opaque sliding panels, said device being adapted to be in two extreme states: a first state wherein the opaque panels are retracted in the canopy, the space delimited by the guide rails being left clear to passers-by; a second state wherein the opaque panels are lowered in the guide rails, the assembly formed by the canopy (1) and the two opaque panels constituting a temporary double-door chamber extending substantially perpendicular to said bay.
