<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video mode or slot type scanner which can read a two-dimensional bar code from both sides of a package. SOLUTION: A bioptics bar code reader is provided with a first window and a second window, which are arranged so as to form a certain angle, a first imaging device related to the first window, a second imaging device related to the second window, and first and second optical devices which direct the light from the bar code in a reading area between windows to the first and second imaging devices. Two imaging devices acquire bar code images f the read area respectively.</p> |
