PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for remotely attaching/detaching connector capable of eliminating wrong connections by enabling connection work between outside cables and inside cables to be done through remote operation. SOLUTION: In order to enable connection of second connectors 4 for multiple inside cables 2 to first connectors 3 for multiple outside cables 1 through remote operation, multiple first connector moving devices 5, having a first horizontally moving mechanism for horizontally moving the first connector 3 and stopping it at a first connection position and multiple second connector moving devices 6, having a second horizontally moving mechanism for horizontally moving the second connector 4 and stopping it at a second connection position are arranged to cross at right angles, and a controller 10 is provided for remotely controlling the first connectors 3, so that they move in the direction of insertion.
