PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous induction motor of high efficiency by centralizing the generating magnetomotive force of a rotator provided with a permanent magnet of two-pole constitution and realizing large reluctance torque. SOLUTION: The synchronous induction motor 2 comprises a stator 4 provided with a stator winding 7 and a rotator 5 rotated in the stator 4. A easing type secondary conductor 5B is provided on the circumference of a rotator yoke part 5A constituting the rotator 5. The permanent magnet 31 of the two- pole constitution is embedded in the rotator yoke part 5A. The generating magnetomotive force of one pole part of the rotator 5 is 10% or less of a peak value in a prescribed range in the neighborhood of electric angles 0 and 180 degrees.
