PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the vibration of an optical pickup device. SOLUTION: The optical pickup device 10 is provided with a lens holder 14 which supports an objective 12, a yoke base 15 which supports the lens holder 14, a focus coil 16 and a tracking coil 18 which are fitted on the lens holder 14, a pair of magnets 30 and 32, a yoke 22 which supports the pair of magnets 30 and 32, a suspension holder 24 which is fixed on the yoke base 15, and four elastic supporting bodies 26a to 26d which oscillatably holds the lens holder 14. A weight 48, which acts as a weight balancer and has a weight necessary for damping the oscillation of the lens holder 14, is fixed at the recessed part 14d provided at the tip 14c of the lens holder 14 by being bonded with an adhesive 50. The weight 48 suppresses the generation of vibration and changes the characteristic vibration by enhancing the rigidity of the lens holder 14.
