The fitting tool is provided by a sleeve (8), brought into engagement with the wheel nut (7) of the central fixing for the automobile wheel, for transmission of an operating torque, via cooperating elements around the outside of the wheel nut and the inside face of the sleeve. The end of the sleeve facing the free end face (25) of the wheel nut is provided with an O-ring (24), fitting into a peripheral slot of the wheel nut.
