PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth cover sheet for the soft ground and a method capable of laying a net-like sheet or a net even in the condition that water is not filled over the whole of the soft ground and that the net or the sheet directly comes into contact with the soft ground, and provide a jointing jig to be used for the same. SOLUTION: The earth cover sheet 1 formed by arranging a water soluble sheet material 3 in the lower surface of the net-like sheet 2 or the net is used.
