A container for cultivation of edible (especially Chinese) mushrooms contains a mycelium-inoculated nutrient medium and comprises a 'sausage-forming' tubular bag (26) of light-impermeable material. An independent claim is also included for cultivation of such mushrooms by storing and cooling a mycelium-inoculated and water-moistened nutrient medium in a bag (26) formed from a tube (22) of light-impermeable material which, on being filled, divides into sausage-like units with growth openings (34). |
