PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device having desired performance such as high corrosion resistance and a desired thermal expansion characteristic and realizing a low cost. SOLUTION: A shroud support (the supporting device) 8 for supporting a reactor core shroud 4 of a nuclear reactor is provided with a support parent metal 10 formed of the same material as a nuclear reactor pressure vessel 2, and a plate member 12 formed of a high corrosion resistant material different from the material of the support parent metal 10 and jointed to overlap the surface of the support parent metal 10.
